The playbook gets better each time it runs. The notes live in [FreedomOS](https://getfreedomos.com), so every AI reads them next time. - **B-roll and music.** Version 1 had no B-roll, no music and a few repeated lines. Tim gave his notes, each one became a checklist line, and two rounds later he called all three videos "EPIC". - **A shorter middle.** On Instagram, people watched 19 of 57 seconds of video 1, 18 of about 70 seconds of video 3 and 15 of 80 seconds of video 2. The longer the video, the less of it people watched, so the next scripts run about 45 seconds and get into the story faster. - **Each app is its own audience.** Video 2 kept the fewest people past the first 3 seconds on Instagram (45%, against 62% for video 1), yet it is our best on TikTok by far: 1,068 views and 157 likes. So the AI reads each app separately before it picks the winner the next scripts build on. - **Check the numbers at the source.** Metricool, our scheduler, returned no TikTok numbers for these posts, so the AI read them from TikTok itself. If your scheduler shows a blank, have your AI check the app. - **Better audio.** The sound wasn't as good as we wanted. Claude helped pick a better mic setup, and it's on the way for the next round. The lesson: film it and post it now rather than wait for the perfect setup. - **Signups per video.** Not measured per video yet. The number all of this serves is in the results card: readers of The Long Build letter, 108 today and 200 by December 31. Kenji, the AI Media GM we hired in [FreedomOS](https://getfreedomos.com), chases it with his Newsletter Bot, inside the authority we gave them. ## Will this work for me? - **"I'm not technical."** Starting takes 10 seconds: sign in with one click, press Copy for your AI and paste it in. Your AI checks what you already have, shows you exactly what it will set up and how long it will take, and waits for your OK. After that, you film and say yes or no. - **"I already use ChatGPT, Grok, Muse or my own tools."** Use them. Your AI uses the posting, storage and music tools you already have connected, and only suggests something new for a gap. - **"What does it cost?"** The green money icon above marks what we pay for: Claude, Epidemic Sound, Dropbox and beehiiv. We pay for no AI video tool. The transcript, cutting and layout tools are free. Every paid tool we used has a free or cheaper swap in the table below. - **"My first video won't be great."** Ours wasn't either. The checklist below is every fix we needed, so you start where we ended. - **"I don't have time."** Filming three videos took Tim 20 minutes. After setup, your part is reading the scripts on camera and saying Post or Skip. ## The playbook Your AI reads these steps and does them for you. Tim's whole part was sitting down to read the scripts on camera, then saying Post or Skip. 1. **Your AI writes short scripts from your own stories.** It drafts from everything you've already said. Ours pulled from Tim's book, his existing content and his notes, all kept in [FreedomOS](https://getfreedomos.com). Each script is 45 to 60 seconds spoken, with one story and one practical takeaway. The first line is the hook and goes on screen. 2. **You film everything in one sitting.** Phone at 1080p, 30 fps, HDR off, at eye level. Look at the lens. When you flub a line, say "cut" and start the sentence again. Leave a beat of silence after the last word. Your AI can build you a simple teleprompter page with the scripts; Claude built one for Tim and he read straight off it. Use the best mic you have today. Ours wasn't as good as we wanted, and posting anyway beat waiting. 3. **Your AI gets the clips.** No dragging big files from your phone. Claude laid out a way to do this; Tim didn't have time to set it up this round and will try it on the next batch. 4. **Your AI transcribes word for word.** Use verbatim mode (in faster-whisper, turn off `condition_on_previous_text`). The normal mode quietly merges retakes, and that's how our first cut shipped with repeats. Give it a list of names it might mishear. 5. **Your AI picks the best take of each line, against the script.** One kept range per script line, in script order. Start each on a clean word and after any hand reaching for the phone. 6. **Your AI plans the picture.** Your face is on screen 30 to 40% of the time. Put B-roll or animation over every look-down, and change the picture every 2 to 4 seconds. The hook and the last line stay on your face. 7. **Your AI adds music.** A modern bed with no vocals, about 18 dB under the voice, cut to the video's exact length so it swells on the last word. 8. **Your AI renders.** Ours renders with Remotion at about 4 seconds of work per second of video. 9. **Your AI runs the checklist below** on every video before a person sees it. Ours keeps it in [FreedomOS](https://getfreedomos.com), so each note Tim gives becomes a line the next AI reads. 10. **You say Post or Skip.** You see all the videos on one page and say yes or no to each. 11. **Your AI reads the numbers before the next batch.** For each video, on each app: views, average watch against length, shares, follows and signups. Where the scheduler has no numbers, it reads them from the app itself. Write three lines (which won and why, where people dropped off, one change), then write the next scripts from the winner. ## The checklist Each line is a note Tim gave once. - Every script line appears exactly once. Transcribe the finished cut and read it against the script. - Each take starts on a clean word, with no fragment of the word before it. - No hand reaching for the camera, no phone handling, no rustle. - Pauses over 0.3 seconds are cut, measured in the audio. - The first and last word of every take is whole. Transcripts end words early, so follow the audio. - Hold 0.7 seconds on the face after the final word. - No clicks, half breaths or doubled sounds at any cut. - Voice at about -14 LUFS. - No slow piano. Use one modern track per video, with no vocals. - B-roll over every look-down, and a new picture every 2 to 4 seconds. - Captions never covered, and the face never cut by the split line. ## Swap in your own tools | Job | What we used | Use your own | |---|---|---| | The AI doing the work | Claude Opus 5.5, in Claude Code, so it can run the editing scripts | Any AI that can run code | | Where the playbook and checklist live | [FreedomOS](https://getfreedomos.com) company knowledge | Notion, a Claude Project, a Google Doc | | Transcript | faster-whisper | Any transcriber with word times | | Cutting | ffmpeg and our take-picking script | Any editor your AI can drive | | Layout and captions | Remotion | CapCut or Descript, if you edit by hand | | Music | Epidemic Sound | Any licensed music library | | Scheduling and numbers | Metricool | Buffer, Later, each app's own scheduler | | Reader count | beehiiv, connected in [FreedomOS](https://getfreedomos.com) | Any newsletter tool; FreedomOS also connects Klaviyo and Resend | Epidemic Sound, Dropbox and Metricool came through Claude's own connectors. beehiiv sits in FreedomOS, so Kenji and every AI we use read the same reader count. FreedomOS also connects tools like X, LinkedIn, Meta ads and PostHog, so a bot you hire there can use them from whichever AI you work in. ## Run it with your own AI Press **Copy for your AI** and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Muse or any AI you use. It starts the setup right away: it checks which tools you already have, shows you exactly what it will do and how long it will take, and waits for your OK before changing anything. Steps 4 to 8 need an AI that can run code, such as Claude Code, Cursor or ChatGPT with code. ## When you'll want FreedomOS You can run all of this on your own, for free. Once it works, the next problem shows up: running it with other people, week after week. - **A team:** one person films, an AI edits, someone else approves. Everyone needs the same playbook and the same checklist, not copies in separate chats. - **Getting better every batch:** each note you give becomes a checklist line every AI reads next time, whether that's Claude, ChatGPT or Grok. - **Permissions:** you decide once what your AI may post on its own and what waits for your yes, and you can see every decision it made. - **Handing it off:** give the whole playbook to a teammate or a bot, with its goal and its numbers. - **A bot with a number:** hire a bot in FreedomOS, give it a number to grow and the authority to chase it, and work with it from your own AI. Ours is Kenji, and he works from Grok. That's what FreedomOS does. Your playbooks live in your company knowledge, next to your brand, goals and numbers. To connect any AI to all of FreedomOS, add `https://getfreedomos.com/api/mcp` as a custom connector in its settings and sign in when it asks. If you already keep a company brain somewhere else and work alone, keep the playbook there; it works the same.

Run it with your team in FreedomOS
